أدى عشرات الآلاف من المصلين صلاة الجمعة في المسجد الأقصى المبارك – الحرم القدسي الشريف، رغم الإجراءات المشددة التي فرضتها قوات الاحتلال الإسرائيلي على الوافدين إلى مدينة القدس.

تشديدات إسرائيلية في القدس

وذكرت دائرة الأوقاف الإسلامية في القدس أن عشرات الآلاف من المصلين أدوا صلاة الجمعة في المسجد الأقصى، وفق ما نقلت وسائل إعلام فلسطينية.

وفرضت قوات الاحتلال تشديدات على المصلين داخل مدينة القدس بالتزامن مع ما يسمى «رأس السنة العبرية»، وانتشرت بكثافة ونصبت السواتر الحديدية في شوارع المدينة ومحيط البلدة القديمة والمسجد الأقصى.

مستوطنون يستبيحون مقبرة باب الرحمة

وفي سياق منفصل، استباح عشرات المستوطنين، اليوم الجمعة، مقبرة باب الرحمة الملاصقة للسور الشرقي للمسجد الأقصى، وأدوا طقوسًا تلمودية ونفخوا في البوق بمحاذاة قبور المسلمين، بحماية من شرطة الاحتلال الإسرائيلي، عشية ما يعرف بـ«رأس السنة العبرية».

وأفادت وكالة الأنباء الفلسطينية «وفا»، نقلًا عن محافظة القدس، بأن هذه الطقوس أقيمت من الجهة الخارجية للمقبرة، وذلك للأسبوع الثالث على التوالي، في ظل تصاعد مطالب جماعات الهيكل المزعوم بفرض طقوسها الدينية داخل المسجد الأقصى خلال الأعياد اليهودية.

تحذير من تغيير الوضع القائم

وأضافت محافظة القدس أن المستوطنين، مع منعهم من إقامة بعض هذه الطقوس داخل المسجد الأقصى، يتجهون إلى فرضها في محيطه وأمام أبوابه والمناطق الملاصقة لسوره، وفي مقدمتها مقبرة باب الرحمة، في محاولة لفرض أمر واقع جديد وتوسيع مظاهر التهويد واستهداف هوية المسجد الإسلامية ومكانة المقدسات والمعالم المحيطة به.

وحذرت المحافظة من استغلال موسم الأعياد اليهودية لتوسيع الاقتحامات وفرض طقوس دينية جديدة، إلى جانب توسيع أوقات ومساحات وجود المقتحمين والتضييق على المصلين والعاملين في الأوقاف، والمساس بعناصر الوضع التاريخي والقانوني القائم في المسجد الأقصى المبارك.

Tens of thousands of worshippers performed Friday prayers at the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, despite heightened measures imposed by Israeli occupation forces on those traveling to Jerusalem.

Heightened Restrictions Across Jerusalem

The Islamic Waqf Department in Jerusalem said tens of thousands of worshippers performed Friday prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque, according to Palestinian media reports.

Israeli occupation forces imposed tighter restrictions on worshippers across Jerusalem amid what is referred to as the Jewish New Year, deploying heavily and installing metal barriers in the city's streets and around the Old City and Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Settlers Enter Bab al-Rahma Cemetery

Separately, dozens of settlers entered Bab al-Rahma Cemetery, adjacent to the eastern wall of Al-Aqsa Mosque, on Friday and performed Talmudic rituals and blew the shofar near Muslim graves under the protection of Israeli occupation police, on the eve of the Jewish New Year.

The Palestinian news agency WAFA, citing the Jerusalem Governorate, reported that the rituals were conducted outside the cemetery for the third consecutive week, amid growing demands by so-called Temple groups to perform religious rituals inside Al-Aqsa Mosque during Jewish holidays.

Warnings Over the Status Quo

The Jerusalem Governorate said that, while settlers are prevented from performing some of these rituals inside Al-Aqsa Mosque, they have increasingly sought to impose them around the mosque, at its gates, and in areas adjacent to its walls, particularly Bab al-Rahma Cemetery.

It warned against exploiting the Jewish holiday season to expand incursions, impose new religious rituals, extend the times and areas in which intruders are present, restrict worshippers and Waqf employees, and undermine the existing historical and legal status quo at Al-Aqsa Mosque.
