On Wednesday, October 23, 2024, the American University School of the Middle East welcomed a delegation from the World Federation of Muslim Scouts from Saudi Arabia, coordinated with the Arab Council for Gifted and Talented. Representing the Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Manager, Dr. Shukri Al-Marashdeh, and the school’s Principal, Dr. Manal Ibrahim, were Mr. Saeed Shahabat, Vice Principal, Ms. Shatha Al-Waqfi, Coordinator of Academic Programs; KG Principal, Ms. Inaam Bani Issa, and Ms. Anoud Al-Marashdeh, the Administrative Director.
The Saudi delegation was led by Dr. Zuhair Ghoneim, a member of the administrative board of the council and Secretary-General of the World Federation of Muslim Scouts, along with Dr. Mohammed Al-Yami, accompanied by representatives from Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University and the Saudi Electronic University, as well as supervisors and talented and outstanding students from Saudi Arabia.
The visit included a presentation of the school’s various programs, followed by a tour to explore its main distinguished facilities. The school’s outstanding students presented a special showcase of the robots they designed, attended some scientific experiments in the laboratories, and performed musical and national cultural presentations. The visit was attended by the heads of academic departments for higher grades, and number of administrators.
The head of the Saudi delegation expressed his happiness with the visit and provided a comprehensive explanation of the roles of both the Arab Council and the World Federation in supporting efforts related to gifted students worldwide.
